Cardigans!

An easy way, we've found, to make a sleeveless shirt modest and add a classy or unique (or both...) touch to a look is by using cardigans. They are great to have year round whether with denim shorts or long jeans and a scarf in winter!

Bright colors are great for spring, however, the richer, saturated colors tend to be best for winter.

Neutral colors like this one are great any time :)

(if you haven't noticed,  I'm a big fan of ruffles :) )

Both websites have great cardigans (Forever 21 may not have modest outfits, but cardigans, you can't really mess up)
Enjoy!

  1. If you find a crew neck sweater you like the feel of you can turn it into a cardigan. I have been cutting cardis up the center, binding edges, either adding buttons or belt or other closures. Goodwill does not have the best prices-$5.50 for all their sweaters-but at the Edgewood Thrift store on route 40 you can get a nice cashmere or wool sweater for $1.24 and turn it into something beautiful. I run my hands over the racks as I walk and stop when it feels good, contemplate the color, choose whether or not it is worth altering...

  2. That's a great idea! I never would have thought of that. What do you use to bind the edges? Do you sew it or just one of the iron-on things?
